Thanks to its unique two-piece design, the SP-625 cap (known as the “60 cap”) can be produced in two colors. How Does the Two-Piece Design Prevent Tampering?

With older one-piece designs, the complexity of the mold meant that the tamper-evident band did not break completely when the customer opened the cap, and parts of it stayed on the cap itself.

The separate, two-piece design of the SP625 cap solves this problem and prevents tampering through the following mechanism:

• The band is completely separate from the cap body: the tamper-evident band is made as a separate piece.
• The band always stays on the container: when the customer opens the cap, the two pieces separate and the band remains entirely on the container.
• It locks under the retaining ring: the key tamper-evident advantage is that the broken band always catches under the retaining ring on the container and stays there.

Because of this mechanism, once the cap is opened the band stays locked on the container and separate from the cap, so it is impossible to put the band back on the cap and refill the product fraudulently.
