Health at the Heart of Sapel: A Look at Our Periodic Employee Health Checks
At Sapel, we believe that our most important asset is our skilled, dedicated people. That is why we have made protecting and improving our employees’ health a priority. As part of this commitment, Sapel holds regular, scheduled periodic health checks and tests for all its staff. This two-stage process is carried out at Sapel with great care and expertise, so that we can be sure our colleagues are in full health at work.
A Comprehensive, Specialist Approach to Health at Sapel:
Stage One: Screening and Basic Tests at Sapel
In the first stage, health professionals come to Sapel’s workplace to collect a set of basic blood and urine tests from employees. These tests cover key indicators of general health, such as a complete blood count (CBC), blood sugar, blood lipids, and liver and kidney function. The results give an overall picture of the health of Sapel’s employees and highlight any changes or any need for further examination.
Stage Two: Specialist Examinations and Follow-Up Checks at Sapel
Once the test results are in, the second stage follows, with comprehensive, specialist clinical examinations. This stage is carried out by occupational medicine specialists and experienced medical staff. At this stage, the following are carefully checked at Sapel:
- General clinical examination: including overall physical condition, blood pressure and other vital signs.
- Hearing test (audiometry): to assess employees’ hearing, especially those exposed to noise.
- Breathing test (spirometry): to measure lung function and breathing capacity, which is especially important in industrial environments.
- Eye examination: to check eye health and eyesight.
- Orthopedic and skin examinations: more specialized examinations, depending on the type of work, to prevent related occupational diseases.
Individual consultation: where needed, a consultation with a doctor to review the results and give personalized health advice.
